Residence, curate and lecturer: I do not constantly reside in my Parsonage=House; nor have I so resided since I was collated to my Cure by the late Right Revd and good Bishop Lavington, being then, & having been from that Time, Master of the Free: Grammar: School of Bideford, where I reside, but on Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays, when I am on my Cure, which is a very small Parish with very little weekly Duty, the Baptisms being about four or five yearly, communibus annis: And even with this little weekly Duty, there has hitherto been, from the Time I enter'd on my Cure, a Clergyman living within my Parish, ready to assist whenever Occasion might require... I farm my Parsonage Glebe & keep the House in Good Repair.

When the vacancy was fill'd I continu'd to serve the Chapel the vicar having no opportunity that I know of to get a Curate; but He having resign'd the Living at Michaelmas last, I have serv'd it since under the Sequestration.

  4. Frequency of divine service: I perform divine Service, with a Sermon, once at least every Sunday in the Forenoon or Afternoon alternately with Shebbear.

  5. Frequency of communion: I have five Sacraments of the Lord's Supper in the year, as I found it customary, viz, two at Easter, one at Whitsuntide, one at Michaelmas, & one at Xtmas.

  6. Catechising of children: I generally call the youth to Catechism yearly on several Sundays after Trinity=Sunday.

  12. School, alms-houses, hospital and charitable endowments: None of either Denomination.

  13. Charity: There are no Lands or Tenements for Charitable uses; nor any other Benefaction, unless the Interest of ten Pounds which is distributed among the Poor of my Parish yearly may be so term'd.
